What? No. NO.

Two days ago it was eighty degrees out. EIGHTY. My son sat on our front steps with his shirt off, eating an ice-cream sandwich.

Now it's snowing. Henry's school is canceled. No. This is ridiculous. Cut it out, weather.

All I can say now is, there's a new post over at AlphaMom today. I've got some things to say to Garrison Keillor, over there. If it turns out he's responsible for this weather, he's in big trouble.

Tell me what you're doing this weekend. It better be good, or I can't say what I'll do.

um . . . rearranged my kitchen (again) . . . threatened to throw away all the toys (again) . . . reminded my four-year-olds that the doggy steps are not safe to stack on our bed so they can reach the ceiling-fan pull-chain (again) . . . finally thought to explain that if the ceiling fan breaks, it will cost as much as 3 Breakfasts With Mickey Mouse to replace it (*finally* the heathens stopped trying to reach it . . . sent them outside with Daddy to play in the Crunchy Snow. Sorry, Alice.

I don't have an issue with the weather but if there's anything else that I could blame Garrison Keillor for, I'm up for it.

Spent most of Saturday a.m. shoveling the mountain of snow blocking the end of my driveway (Hi! It was 75 degrees here in Boston on Wednesday!). Finished crocheting a layette for my coworker's soon-to-be new baby, bought a new computer, spent until midnight last night cursing at new computer (why!? WHY won't you import any data from my old computer!?). Went to bed. Got up this a.m. and somehow computer had responded to my cursing and was all innocent-like, sitting there on my desk, with files all neatly where they belong. Got up this a.m. and had fasting labs drawn by the nastiest phlebotomist (complete with scary fake fingernails) ever.

My weekend consisted of a hot date with Mr. TSM, seeing the movie "300" (AMAZING by the way), and an intimate products home party. Va va VOOM! It was VERY exciting, so hope that helps your snow blues!

Naturally since we had child-free plans for the weekend it went from 70's on Thursday to 30's on Friday as Saturday while Jack was gone and company was here, then back up to the 60's on Sunday as soon as company was gone and Jack was home.

I really think I've pissed off God one too many times.

my girls went sledding in the blizzard, and managed to almost get hit by a snow plow. *boggle* Then we went to a birthday party at roller palace. Very cool.

I love relaxing weekends! Hope yours was nice.

So glad I didn't read this yesterday when you all were having a wonderful time with your weekend and I was throwing myself one big pity party.

I know, wasn't that big snow a bummer? But ... 80 degrees? What? Where? It hasn't topped 60 degrees in weeks and weeks, here in Stamford (an hour away).

Then again, that might explain my inability to read poetic license. Damn snow.

I actually went and played in a disc golf tournamnet in Columbus, OH. The weather sucked and I shot horrible.

I just found your blog (I googled bacon!?!)I thought you should know that it's entirely your fault that I am now 3 hours behind on my work. Not that I'm one to place blame elsewhere, but it really is your fault. It's kind of like bacon, I couldn't stop at the first post. You should also know 'I'll be back' so there!p.s. I was trying to find out how many slices of bacon in a package....never did. I live in France and we don't have it so I can't just go to the store and count - thus Google! sigh....

You have to be the single most entertaining blogger I've come across. I research blogs for several companies, and have yet to be caught at my desk, tears streaming through my laughter-clenched eyes.

Thank you, so much, for such a refreshing perspective on the world and such an accessible voice with which you convey it. You've found another habitual reader. :)

I am right there with Katie and Mallory, I found your blog because I have entered into the dreadful terrible 2's stage with my once so wonderfully sweet, mommas boy, so in searching Google for terrible 2's, I came across your blog from 2004 about Henrys fits. I have read it and the comments that go along with it 4 times, and passed them along to all my friends who also have children in this same phase. And since reading that post and its comments I felt I had to read everything ever posted, so I went all the way back, and then all the way forward until I was 2 days behind in work and up to speed on every post. I LOVE THIS BLOG!!! Not only do I love it but I reread it and tell everyone I talk to about it and share your stories... you are an amazing writer, and I hate reading!! Thank you! I now feel sane.
