It's not the first of May...

Charlie enjoying the spring. Tastefully edited version.

...but it sure feels like it. So here. Listen to this extremely NSFW song, and look at this tastefully edited, SFW photo of my dog. (There was a Gaussian blur applied. Charlie was reaallly enjoying the nice weather.)

Happy Spring!

Oh no, you covered the lipstick. Poor Charlie, he just wanted to show his LOOOVE to the Internet!

He used 'in flagrante delicto' as a song lyric.

Holy crap, yo.

That's the best lyric since Trey Parker of South Park fame worked 'triple sow cow and a triple lutz' into a song asking 'What Would Brian Boitano Do?'.

I think I have your dog's littermate. She looks exactly like him!

Oh my. I will never again encounter the phrase "the first of may" with out that lyric going through my head. Good thing I'm tone deaf, or I'm sure I'd get caught singing it under my breath in the grocery store.

You must all be in Zone 6, because up here in Zone 5 we can't start till all danger of frost is past, like Memorial Day.

Love. That. Song.

Thanks, Alice!

Spring makes me feel that way, too, but I don't have a pinky to hang out.

I love CHARLIE! He's adorable! AND I don't see a freaking LAMPREY firs thing when i look at your page! I love Charlie because he's not a lamprey.
April 23, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterJudypooh
Actually, Charlie is part lamprey. You should see him suck a hole in a Beluga!

Alice! Get back to work!

Great song!!! Charlie's got that composed p*rn-star moxie going on... nice.

Zone 6 is probably a good guess though I'm still looking for something beyond forsythia and crocuses around here despite yesterday's 85 degrees. I kind of like to ease into my Summer not be slammed through it like putting my head through a brick wall. It was 78 degrees in our bedroom last night and it's April. The End of Days...I'm telling you.

I miss our dog -- Charlie is adorable, and thanks for the song.

Can't wait for your book, Alice! And if you want to hear the Coulton song--and how could you not--go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRhPeJ3uzOc. You rock.

Hey - that first of May reference is lifted from James Taylor! I remember him talking about it in a fantastic outdoor concert, and every first of May since I can't help but think of it :)
April 24, 2007 | Unregistered Commenterloribo
It actually goes back far longer — supposedly a reference to the pagan/Druidic celebration of Beltane.

That's right, live it up.

Some of us are stuck working outside in all black for the next week.

Grrr.

Love the picture of the dog.

Love the song.

Love nice weather & Spring!

Oh, thank heaven! Charlie is far, far more adorable than that horrible lamprey. The cat was cute, but the lamprey was . . . ugh. More Charlie pictures, please. And more henry pictures. Or pictures of Henry hugging Charlie. Or Charlie playing with Henry. Anything but more lampreys.

Hey, wait a minute, I always heard it was May 8th. You know: "Hurray, Hurray for the 8th of May, it's National Outdoor Intercourse Day!"
