June 4, 2008Why, hello there. You know what helps one feel better? Prozac, and a Wii. Did I mention that last week was my birthday? And nine days before that was Scott's birthday? So we bought each other a Wii. Also, it's our ninth anniversary, um, tomorrow. And lo, we have a Wii! It's a present that keeps on giving. The Wii, that is. (Okay, also the medication. Huzzah for medication! Damn the naysayers!)
I am 39 now. And Scott turned 38. He's a baby. For nine days we were the same age, so we walked around nodding at each other. "Whoa," Scott said, and I said, "yup." He finally got it. Then I hurtled ahead of him and now he can't possibly understand my perspective on anything. I was born in the SIXTIES, man. It was DIFFERENT.

Big Wii fan here. The entire family is hooked on Wii Fit and I am a Guitar Hero junkie. Get those (if you haven't already).
Lastly, I turn 39 this year too and my dear husband will turn 38 in a few days. I totally understand what you are talking about.

Anti-depressants and clomazapan were my best friends for two years after the birth of my second child. Nothing kicks your ass like depression. Glad to see you're doing some ass kicking back.

We got a Wii to maintain my sanity (a very iffy self-proclaimed sanity) in March. Have fun!
i'm going to be 38 next week.
i am actually considering letting video games into my house and getting a wii. it would be a slippery, slippery slope.

I'm so glad you posted. I found your blog reading someone else's blog, and I stayed to read ALL OF YOUR ARCHIVES! It was better than a book. You had me literally gasping for breath at the images you painted with your words. I have a boy the same age as Henry (nearly). I have experienced, or can imagine, almost ALL of the stories you tell about your boy. And your writing style is so fun! Definitely thinking you should write a book.

I hope the Wii is as awesome for you guys as it sounds. I have been wanting one.
My hubby is 4 years, 362 days older than me. So for most of the year he is 5 years older, then for three days he is 4 years older.

We also jointly rock the Wii, presently the Wii Fit. For fun, check your pets' Wii Fit age. Our cat = 44. Our dog = daughter is checking him right now. My husband doesn't know I've also loaded his Wii Fit money maker dance on my blog. It's because he's only 38, you know. Not so bright those young ones.
And I would totally sell my soul for the Wii Fit as I read those that have one. I am insanely jealous.
