Why, hello there. You know what helps one feel better? Prozac, and a Wii. Did I mention that last week was my birthday? And nine days before that was Scott's birthday? So we bought each other a Wii. Also, it's our ninth anniversary, um, tomorrow. And lo, we have a Wii! It's a present that keeps on giving. The Wii, that is. (Okay, also the medication. Huzzah for medication! Damn the naysayers!)

I am 39 now. And Scott turned 38. He's a baby. For nine days we were the same age, so we walked around nodding at each other. "Whoa," Scott said, and I said, "yup." He finally got it. Then I hurtled ahead of him and now he can't possibly understand my perspective on anything. I was born in the SIXTIES, man. It was DIFFERENT.

I'll be experiencing the exact same thing come August, but only for one day. That 60s/70s divide is a big one, if only mentally (which is where I spend most of my life anyway.)

A very happy belated birthday to you and Scott. (And anniversary.) I have a feeling this is going to be a great year for you guys.

Some of us in our late 40s were also born in the 60s... Gah! But Wii ROCKS! Glad you're feeling better.

I usually do not comment but it made me laugh and hit mome - The sixties/seventies discussion is always going on at our house. I am 41 and the husband turns 36 this month. He contantly reminds me about the age gap - with wow you graduated from college before I graduated from high school, etc. In his defense - he cleans the house, washes dishes, and makes the bed which a few of my friends with older husbands have to do all by themselves. Enjoy your birthday and anniversary Wii. I personally enjoyed Zoloft while I was planning my wedding. It is good to see that you are doing better

So glad you're feeling better! We have a Wii, and I want Wii fit. We have SSX Blur snowboarding and we love to play that.

Totally, dude. You GET it. He just doesn't.

Happy Belated Birthday.

So apparently we have to get a Wii. Right now we rock the X-Box and my DH loves the blow-up-and-shoot-stuff games and Tiger Woods. He made me create his female character on the latter because I made the boobs more "realistically large" on mine. His girl's looked like something out of a Russ Meyer movie. I'm sure if I suggested it as a joint Christmas present, he wouldn't say no....

So very, very glad to read you're doing better. Happy, happy birthday!

Twenty years ago I met the most wonderful man. We spent much time together after leaving where he worked and I volunteered. I invited him to my home and introduced him to my daughter who was 17. After she left the room he looked so confused and I asked him what was wrong and he said, "I didn't know you had a daughter that old" and I replied, "She's the youngest." And then we both said, "How old are you?". When we married two years later, he was 34 and I was 47. I grew up with Elvis, he with the Beatles. We have a wonderful marriage.

I love my Wii! Desperately hunting the fit right now so I can get my yoga on and watch it on TV.

My favorite thing about the Wii is the way it entertains the in-laws when they are visiting. Makes my job so much more bearable....

I keep meaning to post about this on my blog, but Declan had this big freak out when he figured out we were born in the "Nineteens" - LOL!

AND! We got a Wii for our 12 anniversary which was last May only it took us a while to actually procure a Wii, and I turned 38 in April and my hubby Bryan turns 39 in August. Weird.

I am glad you are feeling better. Verah glad.

Oh, and I am on Lexapro too. It's goooood.

Meds work. I've found effexor good for depression and anxiety. I finally found my way to trazodone to take for sleep. Non-habit forming.
