Merry Christmas

Every last gift is wrapped.
Charlie has on his Christmas collar.
Henry is down with a cold. A marathon afternoon of Futurama was the only thing keeping him conscious all afternoon.
Charlie was concerned. Or sleepy. It's hard to tell which.
During dinner we watched Scrooged, which may very well become a holiday tradition around here. Henry was a fan.
I suggested we put a plate out for Santa, and I thought Henry was going to scoff at the idea--he's a BIG KID, you guys. But then he said he'd write a letter, too. It's pretty great.
(Okay, we're ready in every way except for not having an unbroken cookie in the house. We're hoping the chocolate makes up for it.)

Every year our last minute scramble to find a suitable offering for Santa and the reindeer is always comical. One year we made him a cinnamon and sugar quesadilla and chocolate fudge that was a gift from the neighbor! How we had no cookies in the house at christmas is beyond me. Merry Christmas to you all!
Last night I got resentful that I wouldn't get any of the last few cookies, which had been distributed between my kids and a plate for Santa. Even though I'm a big, big kid, I was still thinking he was coming to eat them.
And I was going to comment on how much Henry looks like you, but karly already noted the remarkable resemblance. Merry Christmas to your lovely family!

We watched Scrooged every single year. It is an awesome movie. Anytime I hear anyone singing, "You better watch out...", I picture Bobcat Goldthwaite wielding that rifle and slurring the words in his drunken voice.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Scrooged is great. So is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation if you fast forward through the tedious middle-aged male sexual fantasy bits, which sort of feel like spam inserted in the middle of a comment section.
I love the holidays because it gives everyone permission to be mushy.
